We are glad to announce that the UKNC Winter Meeting 2026 will take place at the University of Swansea on 7th and 8th January 2026.

We are pleased to announce the international invited speakers:

Dr. Takuya Maeda, University of Tokyo: “Current Transport in AlN Schottky Barrier Diode“

Dr. Marta Sawicka, Institute of High Pressure Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences (UNIPRESS): “Exploring electrochemical etching as a tool for cladding engineering in III-nitride laser diodes“

The UK Nitrides Consortium (UKNC) exists to give industrial and academic researchers the opportunity to discuss ideas and progress on nitrides and wide bandgap semiconductors in the UK.

The event will include both oral and poster sessions where researchers and students can communicate their work in III-nitride semiconductors and other wide bandgap materials such as gallium oxide. The conference will give young researchers and students an excellent opportunity to enhance their knowledge through interaction with experts in the field.

Contributions for oral and poster presentations should be submitted online by 1st December 2025. Abstracts should be plain text and a maximum of 250 words, submitted online.
